Stephen Paul Wolfe, age 64, of Cicero, Indiana passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital at Indianapolis.
He was born July 20, 1954 at Marion, Indiana to Richard Erle and Sonia Lee (Muterspaugh) Wolfe.
He was a graduate of Marion High School where he was a member of the marching band that toured Europe. He then earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University followed by his JP Degree at Indiana University. He then practiced law independently.
He was active in the political arena in Grant county. He was a member and past president of the Young Democrat Club and had served on the Marion City Council. He was a volunteer at the Home Missions at Marion, IN and the food pantry at Grace Church. He was also a member of the Gideon Society and the United Family Wesleyan Church at Cicero, IN. He enjoyed watching sporting events and was honored to be a carrier of the Olympic Torch in 1999 in the Indianapolis area.
He married Debra Jean (Hachmeister) Wolfe on February 13, 1988. She survives him. Also surviving is a brother: Michael (Kathy) Wolfe of Anderson, Indiana, sisters: Rebekah (Mike) Brunk of Dunnellon, Florida and Erlena (Tim) Emery of Oldsmar, Florida, plus several nieces and nephews
Funeral services were held Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at United Family Wesleyan Church, 210 South Washington Street, Cicero, Indiana 46034, with Pastor Allen Gross officiating. Visitation was from 10:00 A.M. until time of the services also at the Church. Burial followed at 2:00 P.M. at the IOOF Cemetery at Marion, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Family Wesleyan Church.
