What a great day for Chicago and midwest sports fans. Chicago is pretty much the heart of the heartland.
Now that the vaunted Yankees have been vanquished....I hoping that we can all get behind the Chicago White Sox as they will need all of the support they can get. They were 4 - 6 against the Angels this season..and have had a tough time against west coast teams, by and large. However, the Angels pitching/rotation is a bit battered. And yet, their offense is very good.
I like our chances in Seven. The city will be rocking for a World Series. And it will be especially wild if it ends up with the two teams that are "favored", having the home field advantage - the Sox and the Cardinals.
There are much more knowledgeable and dedicated fans of America's pastime amongst us than am I.
Would love to hear your input/perspective and the series plays out.
I remember carrying a little transistor radio around Jones Junior High to catch some of it during breaks. So many other ways to catch it in the new millenium.
