Hey, I am not blaming Marion or the Marion police for this problem. I think the California promoter didn't do his job; at all.
From what I know advertising for this event was practically non-existent. My cousins, living in Fairmount where the James Dean festival is held each September, knew nothing about this event. My mother-in-law in Gas City knew nothing about it and she dated James Dean in high school.
Connie Kellam Gorrell, living in Ft. Wayne, IN, tells me there was very, very little about it mentioned in their news.
So, if this guy was expecting people from all over the world why then didn't they get the information out to the area around Grant County and Marion, IN?
So, my posting this information on our website was in no means a slap to the Marion police OR Marion itself. Unfortunately, I understand the rain didn't help that weekend either. But, please don't be angry with me for posting the fact that this thief has been indicted!
